Last night was somewhat of a bummer since Erik Rhodes did not show up and Martin Mazza did not arrive until almost 8pm. However being the adept stud photographer that I am, I got 42 shots anyway 🙂 I was nervous because I was using my new lightsphere and was unsure how the thing would perform. I still need to practice with it and watch the tutorial that came with it. I think I got fairly good shots with it but because of the bar design (black high ceilings) , I had trouble bouncing the flash to avoid bright spots. I am sure with time, I will use it effectively.

I actually put on a face and went to the contest last night. I been avoiding going to the east side as well as going out really late night. However since it was a big event for the sisters, I forced myself to attend. I am a little tired today but I had a very nice time. It was good to see all the sisters and others from the east side.

Last night was a good crowd and the guest was fun. A few others came up on stage as well. So that made things even more interesting. I liked the scorpion tattoo on the one guy. I asked Antton to sign a model release but he said he needed to check with Colt first. So until I have authority to sell the images, I have just shared them for display only. You can see all of them with the link HERE

Photojournalism Lesson

Self Shot of Me

Chinatown Yellow Line Stop

The professor spoke about an expert in the area named W. Eugene Smith. The guy documented such controversial things as the KKK, the Minimata mercury poisoning incident in asia, WWII, and many others. You can read more information about the guy if you like by Clicking Here. He also was a master of composition and exposure control. The professor really thinks he is best at manipulating images without the digital age.
