Legal Issues with XXXFraternity.com men

The 5 guys above are models from xxxfraternity.com

Well this morning I was sent a rather threatening email from a lawyer representing these guys. Apparently they objected to my gallery photos taken during the weho xxx awards. Pursuant to keeping the peace, the photos were removed from the gallery. However I am not sure why an attorney was hired for such a matter. If these men objected to photos being taken and used, they should have mentioned it to the 3 professional photographers who were at this event. They were on a stage and saw many flashes going off. I am supposed to speak with a rep from their company in next few days to clear up this matter. I am hoping we can make this situation a positive one. Maybe I can do some photo work for them. I still am a little surprised since they are placing their images and videos on the internet already. I am hopeful this is not being done out of greed since I am but a poor artist and suing me to the point of litigation would be rather pointless.

Stolen Cell Phone

Me

Well I was quite upset a few days ago when my cell phone was stolen from the employee area at Mickys. I still am baffled as to how and why it happened. Luckily, however, I had saved my old phone from six months ago when I upgraded. I had that phone turned back on. The stolen phone is useless now so not sure the point of taking it. Perhaps it just got lost but I am pretty organized and sure that it was taken. Oh well. Life goes on.

All I can say is that the place was packed with both audience and porn guys. So I had lots to photograph. My only complaint was they used that damn fog machine and a few of my pictures are hazy. But I think I fixed most of them. Here are some samples. To see all 115 of them, please Click Here

Guess who

I took a trip downtown for some photos and as luck would have it, there was a big fire on broadway and 4th. Not to say this is a good thing, but makes for interesting photos. I also got some really good shots of downtown buildings and trains. I am excited today for its the first day of my photojournalism class. The teacher has tons of experience in the area and taught my other class. I have experience with a few magazines so this should be a breeze. Oh just a little frustration, I take some medicines and of course I use insurance when going to the pharmacy. Well I went to get my monthly refills and the insurance company decided to change things and not pay for the most expensive one. Well I was not pleased as I have good insurance. So after yelling at the lady on the east coast, I requested the supervisor call me today. Personally I think the medical system in our country is a farce. Its based solely on profit (well as is all of the country) and only allows the insurance corporations to get wealthier instead of helping those in need of medical attention. The system in Canada is socialized and much more compassionate. I think we may lean towards that eventually as the baby boomers start getting older and the general population at the middle class level requires social reform.
