Not a lot to report. We are into what is called either May Grey or June Gloom, which basically means that it is overcast most of the day and does not get above 68 degrees usually. It is not a bad change from sunshine that we have most of the year.
We need an alternative to this rather soon Mister George Dumbfk Bush before the economy goes completely to hell in a handbasket, which it pretty much already has.? Has it not occurred to most of the american public that we need to refocus our attention?? Perhaps not be at war but doing things to help our own country at home?? Hmmmmmmmm
Happy Birthday to Herb Alpert (73) of the famous Tijuana Brass and author of the Whipped Cream and Other Delights album.? I used to listen to this as a teenager believe it or not.? I guess I had more culture than most :)? I was in a creative mood this morning so I made a new cartoon of myself.? Also a lot of notable birthdays today.? Al Gore (60), Shirley Jones (Partridge Family,74), Richard Chamberlain (74), Christopher Walken (65), Gabe Kaplan(Welcome Back Kotter, 63), Rhea Perlman (Cheers,60), William McNamara (43), Ewan McGregor (37), and finally historically Cesar Chavez would have turned 101.
I am going later to a metro meeting at headquarters to give some input on their draft of 25 year projected transit plan.? I really would like to see the subway extended to santa monica beach before I am dead! Otherwise, there are some successful lines like Orange busway, Gold Line to Pasadena, and the current Red line.? I am fond of transit, and wish they had more trains :)? I even considered driving a train or bus at one point.? Might be interesting right.
today in 1999, Dr. Jack Kevorkian was convicted of second-degree murder for giving a lethal injection to an ailing man whose death was shown on “60 Minutes.”? This dude was infamous for killing a bunch of supposedly terminally ill people via lethal injection.? Just goes to show that anyone can get a doctor license :)??
